Into The Dust
Chapter 2
Sunset and Picadilly
"How did you guys.. you know, have powers?"
"I don't know.. It just runs in the family I guess." Brett nodded in satisfaction and grabbed my hand.
"Come on, let's go somewhere." He said and kissed my forehead.
I brought myself up to my feet and laid a sweater over my shoulders.
This was refreshing. This was exactly what I needed at a time like this. The only thing that stuck onto my wordless brain was Jason Blake. But everything made complete sense now. The imperfect time he traveled out of England. I hoped this brought something good.
"This is perfect. Thank you, Brett." I shivered under the waft of cold breeze near the ocean. The waves glided across the flat surface which was the ocean. The clear blue ocean abated the chances of clearing my mind from this convincing, yet unbelievable situation. Being stuck in this general state of affairs made me realize how much I need to pay more attention to our acquaintances. I led my mind drift far away, in sequence with the waves.
We watched the autumn auburn sun set dreamily. Being able to see something like beautiful from the sun like this in England, Picadilly; was near impossible. Almost every surface of the seas in England were enclosed by fences. The government had a disagreement on whether to let the risk of fishermen catching fishes just float like that. Alas, look what they have made of it.
