DIY are my favorite 3 letters

So I know how everyone is sleeping their asses off during the holidays 'cause there's nothing to do. That's why I have a DIY tutorial!! We all know I love DIY. This is the reverse tie dye, which uses bleach (convenient if you're not much of a walker to get out and get fabric dye.)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
  • Bleach - Clorox or whatever. Ask your mum, she probably has it.
  • A black cotton T-shirt. Any shirt, really. If it says Do Not Bleach, you're gonna wanna bleach it.
  • Some rubber bands.
  • Two flat objects. I used a cardboard, the worst idea ever. Use something hard. Like wood or something.
  • A pail.
  • And well, water.

FIRST.
You wanna fold your shirt in accordion. Go on Youtube, and search for a video on how that happens. Then squish it in between the binding a.k.a the two flat objects. Cardboard = bad idea. Then tie some rubber bands around it. It acts as a binding two, so that part won't have bleach penetrating through. Like this :

GET YOUR PAIL.
Fill it with 4 cups of bleach and 1 cup of water. You can just eyeball it. I felt like 4 cups was too much so I reduced it to 3 cups.

DUMP YOUR SHIRT INTO TEH BLEACHSZXZCX.
Tilt the pail a bit so that it can cover your shirt with bleach. Just put it in for a couple if seconds. ONLY. (I did this part wrong that's why mine turned out.. bleagh-ish.)

WAIT. AND WAIT.

Let it sit out of the pail and watch it till it turns into a rusty brown color. How long? It depends on the number of thread counts of the shirt. Once it has turned rusty brown, rinse it a bit, unbind it, then hang it. The bleach residue while soak through and it'll turn into white after sometime. When it does, wash it! You're gonna wanna throw it into the washing machine, 'cause if not it's gonna smell like swimming pool water.

MINE TURNED OUT LIKE THIS.

See, I screwed up. But if you follow the instructions, it'll turn out like this :

See so naise. But mine shows off the I-did-it-myself look. YAY GUYS. NOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO AT HOME!!
