"That's absurd, Daphne."
"What are you talking about? All the teenagers do it."
"Not 'all the teenagers' in Cedar Canyon! How could you, Daph?"
"It's nothing, Chris. It's not like I can get to jail for it or anything."
"But you can go to jail."
"Just chill, man. As long as you keep your filthy mouth shut, nobody's going to find out."
"Whatever, Daph."
And those were the last words I heard from him.
The words that still replay in my mind everyday.
