Went to a Kenduri (for lack of a better word) on Friday. It was at my aunt's two-storey house.
There were so many people. Faces that we've never seen before.

My uncle's nasyid group thingy was there. They brought tambourines and kompangs.
The males' voices harmonized with the females'. It sounded pleasant and beautiful to the ears. The Indian at my right had a really high voice. But it was beautiful. The tones were balanced.

My sister and I didn't follow them. Read, I mean. We had specific disagreements against Maulids and stuff.

There was one time where they recited this :
Laka Syafaa'at Ya Nabi
Isyfa'a Lana Lana Lana Ya Nabi

which means :

You syafaat, oh prophet
Give it to us, oh prophet

and they raise their hands as if for doa' but like really really really. it was scary, really.
but my sister and I didn't, of course.
